About Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Belt System

Master Japan Fukuoka is an official academy of International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation(IBJJF) & Japan Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation(JBJJF).
We are able to promote belts from white to black at Master Japan Fukuoka.

There are 5 colors of belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu grading system.
They are White, Blue, Purple, Brown and Black.
For people under 15, belt colors are White, Grey, Yellow, Orange and Green.
Belt given out to each student are based on how much time spending in practice on the mat, results at the competition and the techniques learned and mastered and Budo-ka mind.
Generally speaking, it usually takes 1-2 years to reach to the next belt. As for black belt, it will take about 8-10 years.
Master Japan Fukuoka instructors are black belt officially recognized by IBJJF (International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation) and JBJJF. (Japan Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation)
Members will be certified an official belt under international regulations.
